Jean Tremblay Founder, Dantian

The Formation

I got my first laptop at twelve. It overheated after a few hours. Burned my legs if I kept it on my lap too long. I used it to play World of Warcraft. That eventually paid for lunch.

By thirteen I was running a digital currency operation between school friends. Buying premium in-game currency with my own money, reselling it at a markup to classmates whose parents wouldn't hand over a credit card for pixels. I had employees. A referral network that reached other schools. A working mental model of supply and demand before I understood the formal term.

I joined the Spanish Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic at a Special Deployment Operations Unit. Short-range air defense, airborne capabilities, operations where the margin for error was zero. I was mining Bitcoin during this period. I couldn't convince anyone at dinner it mattered.

After the Air Force I trained as a commercial airline pilot. EASA certified, 200+ hours in the air. I pivoted before completing the full certification. Not because I lost interest in flying, but because something else was pulling harder.

The Crypto Years

In 2021 I co-founded Syndicate. Fintech product. Zero to launch in 90 days. 15,000 qualified users in the pipeline, 550+ paying customers, 100% sell-through.

That same year I joined Mutant Cats as executive board member and multisig. A stakeholder-governed DAO on Ethereum. At peak: $200M in TVL, an eight-figure blue-chip art treasury, $20M+ in revenue. I directly attributed $7M+ of that revenue just through treasury strategy.

From 2022 I ran Tremblay Advisory. Strategic advisory for the 0→1 phase: go-to-market, growth systems, incentive design. Fifteen-plus ventures from incubation to launch. AI startups, digital asset startups, everything in between. In 2024 I joined Onchain Foundation. Built 350+ hours of live programming from scratch, reached 100,000+ listeners, grew an ambassador program to 130M+ annual brand impressions, and took the X following from 1,000 to 23,000 organically in nine months. Bringing the world onchain was a mission I took to heart.

The AI Shift

I consulted my first AI business in 2023. Built my first AI agent a year later. Tried to automate a social media workflow, the output was terrible. But I learned something that stuck: the gap between what a model can do and what it should do still matters enormously.

Then I founded Dantian.

What Dantian Is Building

Dantian researches the integration of humanity with AI. Not control. Not replacement. Integration. How human cognition and synthetic intelligence merge, complement, and extend each other without one consuming the other.

That means privacy by architecture rather than by promise. Verifiable agent behavior. Transparent audit trails. Onchain attestation. Behavioral certification against declared specifications. Architecture is policy.

We study how these systems should be designed, how they should behave, and what happens at the boundary where human decision-making and machine capability meet.

The research is public. The code is open. The hypotheses are stated ex-ante so they can be evaluated honestly ex-post. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
